Speak to a BAILIFF Expert - £35

Dealing with bailiffs on the doorstep

1. ALWAYS! Place this notice outside your property and keep copies of this notice inside your front door
2. ALWAYS! Keep your door LOCKED SHUT at all times. NEVER open the door to a bailiff even if he says "LOCKSMITHS "- speak to him through a window or the letterbox
3. ALWAYS! Say to the bailiff he must LEAVE your property immediately EVEN if the police are present.
4. ALWAYS! Hide your vehicle - in the garage or park it well away
5. ALWAYS! Take photographs of the bailiff and his vehicle, even better use a camcorder and video-record EVERYTHING
6. ALWAYS! Speak as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE and let the bailiff do the talking
7. ALWAYS! Ask to see his bailiff's certificate and the warrant - and take photographs using your mobile.
8. ALWAYS! Ask which court issued his certificate
9. ALWAYS! Ask for a full breakdown of his fees IN WRITING and put it through the door
10. ALWAYS! Ask who the creditor is
11. ALWAYS! Pay using a CREDIT card, avoid cash and debit cards if possible
12. ALWAYS! If you have grounds, get an appeal lodged - it stops enforcement

1. NEVER! Give or "confirm" your name, address or date of birth
2. NEVER! Sign a document handed to you by a bailiff
3. NEVER! Phone a bailiff - text him.
4. NEVER! Admit to anything.

If you feel intimidated or a bailiff threatened to break in then call police on 999. Remember that door remains LOCKED SHUT until the bailiff AND police are a safe distance from your property. You DO NOT have to open the door to the police. Get everything on video, it can be used in court: Example: YouTube - Rossendales Bailiffs
